'Working in the Records Office' is what Leo fully expects to hear on his 9th birthday, the day that he is assigned his job for the next two years. But Leo doesn't expect what he gets given. It's 'Top Secret' and involves him venturing out beyond the wall. Beyond the wall that he has been told never to go beyond. Beyond the wall that keeps the village safe from bears, wolves and deadly forest creatures. Beyond the wall that was built by the village elders years and years ago. But stepping beyond the wall opens up a world of possibilities for Leo. It opens his eyes to the adventures that he might have and the good that he might do, however dangerous that might be.

Kris Humphrey's throws us straight into this exciting story. Intriguing from the first page, he creates an engaging page-turner that leads the reader on an exciting adventure with Leo. We get to immerse ourselves in the wonderful world created by the author, along with the the fabulously drawn images from Pete Williamson. The start of a really promising adventure series.
