About Author
Chris Mould left school aged 16 and went straight to art school where he was inspired by illustrators such as George Cruikshank, Ralph Steadman and Ronald Searle.
He did a variety of part-time jobs, from delivering papers to washing up and cooking in a kitchen, and decided to become a full time illustrator.
He has won the Nottingham Children's Book Award and been commended for the Sheffield.
He likes to write the kind of books that he would have read a boy - one of his most popular series to date was the Weirdly Wicked series. He writes and illustrates his stories in a studio based in a former carpet factory in Halifax.
He is married with two children and lives in Yorkshire.
