Not My Fault

Not My Fault

ISBN: 9781788002868

Maya and Rose are sisters, and once were close, but since the accident there is nothing but enmity between them. When a school residential trip comes up and both are away from home together, after repeated acts of unkindness and maliciousness, a dramatic situation arises, which finally brings the girls together again.

Maya's leg, injured in the accident, finally puts her in a position where she has to accept her vulnerability, and Rose comes to terms with her own feelings about the accident and summons up the strength to live her own life rather than cowering in the shadow of the past tragedy.

Told in a series of chapters narrated alternately by each sister, this is a book which takes the reader on a journey with Maya and Rose. Uncomfortable to read at times as we witness Maya's malicious behaviour and hostility towards her sister, ultimately the resolution of acceptance and a growing understanding between the sisters will satisfy readers.
