YES! Rex, the dinosaur in disguise, is back! Rex has made it in the human world, and is now a PE teacher! However, not everyone is happy about monsters being involved in society and when all the grumpy pigs... gwinty squids... guinea pigs! go missing at the fair, Rex is the obvious culprit. But as this unusual disappearance continues around the city, who is really to blame?

Laugh along and enjoy the suspense in Rex Dinosaur in Disguise: Undercover Alien as Rex and his friends try to solve the mystery of the missing guinea pigs and prove Rex's innocence. In typical Rex style, this journey is not going to be plain sailing and along the way they encounter other creatures in disguise. Could one of these be behind the mystery?

With chapters including 'Mr Fuzzelwuzzelwuzzelwooo', 'Fancy Pants', and 'B.u.m C.r.a.i.c' (Beaumont's Uncovering Monsters Community Rally Against Creatures) and out-of-this-world characters, this sequel will be a story that readers cannot put down. The wonderful illustrations add extra context and humour to the adventure and really support the reader with their understanding.

A great read for both independent readers with good stamina and also a brilliant adventure text to share with younger readers. Will this be the end of Rex's adventures?

Having read the first Rex Dinosaur in Disguise, it was lovely to see there's a follow-up - Rex Dinosaur in Disguise: Undercover Alien. These books are perfect for early chapter book readers, especially those who like their adventures a little bit bonkers and in full colour!

In Undercover Alien, Rex (the dinosaur in disguise, as a PE teacher) is once again in the spotlight when children's pet hamsters go missing and he is charged with having eaten them. Rex's friends who include pupils at the school and his (far more capable) friends, a yeti and Loch Ness monster also in disguise, to rescue him.  Could the jovial town mayor have something to do with the disappearances?

Warm-hearted and funny, the Rex Dinosaur in Disguise books are gaining a growing and well-deserved fan base. The characters are endearing, the adventures well-plotted, and the humour perfect for this age range. These books are a great choice for home and school library shelves.
