D-Day Dog wins the Children's Book Award 2020


D-Day Dog, written by Tom Palmer and published by Barrington Stoke, is the Overall Winner of the CBA for 2020, after also winning the Confident Readers category.


The winners of the awards were chosen by children from around the country, who voted for their favourite books via their local FCBG group.

The winner of the Books for Younger Children category is The Runaway Pea, written by Kjartan Poskitt and illustrated by Alex Willmore, (Simon and Schuster Children's Books)

The Books for Younger Readers category went to Mutant Zombies Cursed My School Trip, written by Matt Brown and illustrated by Paco Sordo (Usborne)

In the newly introduced Books for Older Readers category, the winner is On The Come Up, written by Angie Thomas (Walker Books).
