A taste of what's happening around the country.

Digital Hay Festival this year

7th May 20

A free five-day Hay Festival programme for schools will be broadcast 18-22 May, aimed at inspiring creative reading across ages 8-14+ years and including authors Michael Rosen, Abi Elphinstone, Alex Wheatle and Candy Gourlay.

The programme has been designed for children to access with their parents, and is available online at Hay Player, via the link, below. Each film will include a recommended activity to do at home.

Across the festival, which runs 18-31 May, over 100 writers and thinkers will take part in Q&A's and interactive events to share their insights and interrogate some of the biggest issues of our time, from Covid-19 and world health to the climate crisis and our future.
