Edinburgh 2020 Book Festival to go digital

16th Jun 20

The Edinburgh International Book Festival will be offering a range of events online, replacing its traditional book festival from Saturday 15th to Monday 31st August.

The programme, which will include over 100 events for adults, families and children, will offer both live and pre-recorded conversations featuring leading writers, poets and participants from around the world.

Events will be free to view, and available through the Book Festival's website.

Full details about the programme and participating authors for the 2020 Edinburgh International Book Festival online, and information on how you can access the free events, will be announced at the end of July.

The festival organisers had previously announced that Edinburgh International Book Festival would not take place in August this year due to the risks surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, and that an online summer programme would be organised to replace it.
