When a dragon comes to stay, will she behave herself? Why, of course she will. Obviously she knows she must share her toys, eat daintily and skip happily upstairs at bathtime. Well . . . not quite. Like all toddlers, this little dragon finds good manners a tiny bit tricky. It's lucky she has some friends to help her.

Librarian's Book choice

What a charming book! This simple, rhyming story explains the good manners that little dragons should have.

The book is easy to understand and details the behaviour that is less satisfactory in a dragon, before explaining the polite way that a little dragon actually behaves. The rhyme scheme is easy to follow and keeps the book engaging, without becoming tedious and the language is easy to understand.

This picture book is a great way of talking to younger children about good manners without explicitly chastising less-desirable behaviour, but instead focusing on positive behaviour. The illustrations match the content on each page perfectly and this book could be read at home with your own children, or would be a great PSHE lesson in a class or nursery setting with younger children.
