    I think this book is ok. However, my kids think it is the business! They can't articulate exactly why, but they love it. If I rate this for me I would give it 3. If I rate it through the eyes of a 3 and 4 year old I would give it 5. I guess that if I were the author that would be my goal.

    I specifically like this book as it is such a stunning visual journey and everyone knows a Jeremy, whether you are 3 or 93!!

  • The No-No Bird

    The No-No bird

    Name: Tara Age 12
    27 March 2010;

    Genre: Animals

    A really funny book about a bird that parallels the behaviour of a real life toddler! Its favourite word is, of course, 'No' and it's a great cautionary tale for every small child who is also at the 'No' stage.

  • An Evening At Alfie's

    An evening at Alfie's

    Name: Tara Casey
    27 March 2010;

    Genre: Real life

    Great familial story about neighbours and friendship with a sense of belonging and community. I love the way Shirley Hughes' books seem to involve everyday people. In this story, Maureen the babysitter is the feminist and they are the safe middle class family. The kids love Alfie books and this...

  • The Bad-tempered Ladybird

    The Bad Tempered Ladybird

    Name: Tara Casey
    27 March 2010;

    Genre: Environment & Nature

    Love the book. It's feisty and really makes the kids listen to the moral and it isn't written in a sickly way.

  • Princess Poppy: The Tooth Fairy

    The Tooth Fairy

    Name: Tara Casey
    27 March 2010;

    Genre: Picture Books

    The illustrations are very pretty. I would not have dreamt of buying such a girly book but luckily a friend gave this to us. My daughter (3 yrs) adores it, and indeed the others from the 'Princess Poppy' range. Janey certainly understands what little girls want from a book ( though not the adult...

  • A Sunny McCloud Book: Smile

    Smile

    Name: Tara Casey
    27 March 2010;

    Genre: Real life

    I really liked the illustrations in this book. It was a 'feel good' story. The negative was that I felt that the language and structure were very similiar to Charlie and Lola. Nice book though.

  • Super Duck

    Super Duck

    Genre: Humour

    We thought this was a very entertaining book with great verse. The children loved it as it was so slapstick.
